Sergeants Mess is one of a kind |

Chowder Bay's disused army barracks, now dubbed 'The Sergeants Mess', were transformed into a luxe venue for Sydney's partygoers by interior design firm Spangenberg + Park. Sixhands was commissioned to create a stunning custom-designed carpet from the abstracted rays of the Rising Sun military insignia which is engineered to sweep from the reception lounge area through to the bar. 'The hands' also designed bespoke artwork for sophisticated fabric ceiling panels.

Sixhands designs for Ruby Smallbone, Bond Eye Swim and Flamingo Sands were selected for their print cred and featured internationally in the 'Patterns in Fashion' publication. (Evergreen, Macarena, 2009). The book features contemporary, original and innovative patterns from high profile labels such as Viktor&Rolf and many other inspiring print artists and designers from around the world.

The launch of Sixhands Interior collection created an eyecatching explosion of colour and an excited buzz nestled within the grandeur of The Melbourne Exhibition Building as a part of Victoria's 'State of Design' Festival in Melbourne in July 2008
